Salary Review process - Mission Australia Case Study

Mission Australia completes another successful salary review using R.Review.

Mission Australia is a wide-reaching community service organisation that has been transforming the lives of Australians in need for more than 150 years. Mission Australia’s 3,500 employees and 1,700 volunteers work together to strengthen families, empower youth, strive to solve homelessness and provide employment solutions. Mission Australia provides more than 550 community and employment services that help over 300,000 Australians each year.

Time to Update the Existing Review Process

Improving the efficiency and transparency of administrative tasks is important in any organisation and perhaps even more important in a not-for-profit organisation. Every dollar and hour saved can be redirected to helping those in need of the community services Mission Australia provides.

In 2011 Mission Australia recognised a need to improve the management of their annual salary and incentive review process. Their spreadsheet based remuneration review process was time-consuming for those involved, lacked transparency, had no audit trail for governance and was prone to errors. They needed a system that could replace their existing spreadsheet based workflow and reduce the time spent by managers, senior leaders and HR during each year’s review.

Mission Australia recognised the benefits of using a hosted, web-based system that would deliver the efficiency, transparency and cost-reductions they needed without creating any over-head for IT support and infrastructure.

Following an assessment of leading salary review software solutions, Mission Australia selected R.Review from Remesys based on the following criteria:

The Solution

Remesys worked closely with the Mission Australiaʼs HR Team throughout all stages of implementation from specification of requirements through user-acceptance testing to go-live and throughout the review processes. The Remesys team were available at all times ensuring implementation of a system that delivered all Mission Australia’s requirements, on time and within budget.
